Our Story

Who We Are and What We Stand For

We equip young people with the skills and support to lead projects that strengthen their communities.

team

Our Approach

We bridge the gap between global citizenship and real-world change.

GLL was founded on a simple but powerful insight: communities thrive when their young people lead. Not as future leaders — as leaders right now, today, in their own neighborhoods and schools.
Through our Leadership Academy, the GLL app, and a global network of partners, we connect youth in under-resourced communities with world-class leadership tools, mentors, and each other.
Every Sustainable Impact Project our graduates launch is proof that the next generation doesn't just inherit the world's problems — they solve them.

What We Believe

Our core values

Youth at the Centre

Everything we do starts with young people. They are not the beneficiaries of our work — they are its co-designers, facilitators, and leaders.

Evidence-Based Practice

Our programs are built on research, measured rigorously, and continuously improved. We believe in learning as much as we teach.

Radical Inclusion

We prioritize youth from under-resourced communities. Leadership development should not be a privilege of the already-privileged.

Local Roots, Global Reach

Every program is grounded in local context and culture. Our global network amplifies local impact — not the other way around.

Radical Transparency

We publish our financials, impact data, and program outcomes openly. You deserve to know exactly how your support creates change.

Systems Change

We don't just train individuals — we shift the systems that keep young people from leadership. Our work is designed to be structural, not just symptomatic.

Theory of Change

How change actually happens

Our model is grounded in the belief that durable community change starts with individual leaders — and spreads outward through relationships, projects, and networks.

Step 1: Identify

Find the Potential

We partner with local high schools, universities, and civil society to identify emerging youth leaders in under-resourced communities.

Step 2: Empower

Equip with Tools

Students enter our Leadership Academy and utilize the GL2i App to access global curriculum and mentorship.

Step 3: Action

Launch Projects

Youth leaders design and execute Student Impact Projects (SIPs) that directly address specific regional challenges

Step 4: Change

Transform Systems

Localized actions scale up to shape stronger schools, responsive nonprofits, and participatory governments.

This training transformed how I think, lead, and run my business. I am now more confident, collaborative, and better equipped to grow my team and contribute to my community.

Menuka Rajbanshi

Dora Bishkovska

Junior Mentor & former volunteer

Everyone has their own mountain to climb. As a mountaineer, I’ve learned that reaching the summit takes resilience, and through the Leadership Academy and Training of Trainers, I see young people developing that same strength to achieve their goals.

Prakash Raj Pandey

Mountaineer (Everest summiteer) Scout Leader & Educator

Our partnership has created meaningful opportunities for young people to lead, innovate, and drive real change. Together, we are shaping a generation committed to building a more sustainable future.

Mahendra Kumar Giri

Chief Executive, Sahara Nepal (partner organization)

The days here used to feel long and quiet, but with the young volunteers, they became warmer and full of life again. Creating items that were later sold made me feel proud - like I still have something meaningful to give.
